ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 71% Pakistanis believe that Muslims living in Pakistan have benefitted as a result of creation of Pakistan.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “According to some people, Muslims have benefitted more from the creation of Pakistan whereas others are of the opinion that Muslims have lost more from this.
In your opinion did Muslims benefit more from the creation of Pakistan or did they lose more?” In response to this question, 71% Pakistanis said that Muslims living in Pakistan have benefitted as a result of creation of Pakistan. On the other hand 17% said that Muslims lost and 12% did not respond.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.
The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1756 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during December 07 – December 14, 2015. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
