ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 82% Pakistanis believe that Operation Zarb-e-Azb is showing positive results; 50% believe that it is showing very positive results and 32% believe it is showing somewhat positive results.
A nationally representative sample of working men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “To what extent do you think that Operation Zarb-e-Azb carried out by Pakistan Army is showing positive or negative results?” In response to this question, 50% said that it is showing ‘very’ positive results, 32% said that it is showing ‘somewhat positive results’, 10% said that it is showing ‘somewhat negative results’ and 7% said that it is showing ‘very negative results’. 1% did not respond.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1867 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during November 02 – November 09, 2015. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
