Organizations directed to ensure safe food distribution

KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has said that all the private organizations that distribute food in Ramazan should ensure all the safety measures and discipline during distribution to avoid any untoward situation.

Siddiqui issued these directives to the deputy inspectors of police and deputy commissioners of Karachi in a letter.

The commissioner said that the food distributing organizations should get permit license from the relevant deputy commissioner based on police report.

“In the past, it has been seen that no food distributing organization ensured any safety or discipline while distribution works that caused serious injuries and financial losses to public,” he said.

He said that the government was ready to provide every possible cooperation to the organizations providing relief and facilities to masses.
