Islamabad: Pakistan has improved 12 positions in Transparency International Corruption Perception Index (TICPI) in a short span of one year due to the transparent policies of the present government.

This was stated by the Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reform, Prof. Ahsan Iqbal while addressing ‘Open Government Partnership (OGP)’ forum in Indonesia on Tuesday.

The Minister said that openness and transparency was the cornerstone of the present government. “Openness of the policies by the present government is not a choice, rather it is a way forward”, he said.

The OGP forum was attended by delegations from more than 60 countries including, USA, UK and Canada. OGP is an international platform for domestic reforms committed to making governments more open, accountable and responsive to citizens.
