Partridges shooting season 2014-15 in KP

Peshawar: Partridges shooting season 2014-15 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will start from Sunday 23rd November, 2014 and will continue till 1st February, 2015. The entire province (excluding the following Sub-Divisions and Districts) except for the Protected Areas will remain open to partridge shooting.

i. District Hangu, ii. District Tank, iii. District Kohistan

iv. Bahrain and Matta Sub-Divisions (District Swat)

Hunting will be permissible only on Sundays and gazetted holidays under a valid shooting license. Hunting in game reserves will be permissible only under a special shooting permit to be issued by the Chief Conservator Wildlife, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar.

Maximum bag limit shall not exceed five birds of all partridge species per gun per day. Value of property equal to Rs.1200/- will be charged for each bird shot in excess to bag limit besides compensation. Use of Automatic weapons like repeater short gun for shooting is strictly prohibited.

Other conditions will remain the same as mentioned in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Wildlife (Protection, Preservation and Conservation & Management) Act, 1975 and the shooting policy made there under.
