Pathetic condition of road perturbs citizens

Karachi: Pathetic condition of University Road near Mosimiyat (Met Office) Chowrangi has become a source of trouble for motorists and commuters.

After many complaints of the citizens, the authorities carried out a patchwork to repair the broken sections from Karachi University Staff Colony Gate to Met Office Chowrangi, but the repair work was incomplete and many craters were left unfilled. The condition of the road once again went deteriorated due to leaking water and sewerage lines, causing immense problems for the road users.

In addition to the free flowing gutter, heaps of garbage on the same road just opposite the Karachi University Silver Jubilee Gate further increases the unhygienic look of the area. Recently, the Sindh governor during his visit to the Karachi University has taken notice of the situation but the concerned officials have yet to initiate a proper road patchwork, repair of the broken lines, opening of chocked gutters and lifting of the heaps of garage. The citizens have requested the Gulshan e Iqbal Town, KMC, KWSB and other concerned authorities to look into this matter and carry out a satisfactory repair of the road, besides solving other civic issues.
