Peshawar: A meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) was held under the Chairmanship of Dr Hammad Awais Agha, Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday in Civil Secretariat Peshawar.
The meeting approved 13 projects having 18 schemes with an estimated cost of Rs. 7080.986 million, which was attended by the administrative secretaries and senior staff of P&D, C&W, LG&RD, Finance, Environment, Sports & Tourism, Higher Education, Health, irrigation, Public Health Engineering and Food Departments.
The meeting discussed and approved construction of Food Grain Gowdown at Skhakot, subject to re-visiting the cost estimates for structure in light in soil bearing capacity and provision of Type IV instead of Type III residence.
The Department was directed to complete the Food Grain Gowdowns. Approved projects of Food Departments for construction of grain gowdowns at Bannu, Mardan, Mansehra, Battagram and Chitral within the originally approved cost.
Revised PC-I for Khushal khan Khattak university at Karak was deferred till clarification of its funding by Finance Department from the Block allocation from Oil & gas Royalty. Revision of PC-I from Hayatabad Sports complex was deferred till site visit by the M&E wing of P&D Department.
Other approved projects included: “Faculty Development Support Programme for Higher Education, Construction of Kundal Dam project (revised), Balance Civil Works & Purchase of Equipment for RHCs, Swabi, Improvement of 25 KM left over portion of Chukiyatan – Barawal – Shahi Road, District Dir (Upper), F/S, Design and Dualization of 16 KM Road from Jamil Chowk (Ring Road) towards Urmar Payan Peshawar, F/S, Design & Construction of road from Sira to Sulam Khand road (20 km) in Tehsil Ghazi district Haripur.
F/S, Design & Improvement / Rehabilitation of Pir Sohawa to Kohala Bazar road via Makhnial District Haripur(10 kms), Construction of Bridge at Changi Bandi Haripur, Rehabilitation & improvement of Soaryano to Qasim Talao road District Mardan (7.150 Km), Rehabilitation & improvement of Chapra Noodri Darunia Road in District Haripur (6.6 km) and Establishment of Bachat Bazaars in selected urban centers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”.
