SIALKOT: Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif has said that government is striving to make Pakistan as envisaged by the Father of Nation Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. He said the nation got Pakistan as an independent homeland after offering hundreds of the thousands sacrifices. He said the country is passing through the crucial crises and the nation should extend the helping hand to government to pull it out of internal and external challenges.
He stated this while talking to the local flood affected people after celebrating Eid ul Azha with them at flood hit village Dheeli Malhiyaan (Narowal district) here on Monday.
Nawaz Sharif said that the flood victims are our brothers and the government is fully aware of their difficulties and problems. He said the government is standing with them and would not leave them alone in this situation.
He said that the government is successfully implementing its agenda of social development and serving the masses without any political indiscrimination. He said the country and nation would soon get rid of all prevailing inherited crises including energy crisis.
Nawaz Sharif said the people of sit-ins are trying to create political uncertainty by promoting the negative and conflicted politics in the country, besides causing severe economic losses to the country.
He said the PML-N is protecting and safeguarding the supremacy of the Constitution and Parliament and strengthening the durable democracy and democratic norms and values in the country.
Prime Minister added that the Punjab government is trying early rehabilitation of all the flood affected people. He said that payment of the financial compensation for their crops’ losses would be started before October 20, 2014. He said that the early payment of the billions of rupees as financial compensation to them is another revolutionary step by the PML-N government.
Nawaz Sharif also distributed Eid gifts among them. Ch. Ehsan Iqbal (Federal Minister for Planning and Development), MNAs. Ch. Daniyal Aziz, Mian Rasheed Ahmed, MPA Khawaja Waseem Akhtar and Narowal DCO were present on this occasion.
