LARKANA: Sindh High Court Circuit Court, Larkana here issued notices on a petition of a citizens seeking posting of Masood Ahmed Bangash as SP Larkana to control law and order.
A Constitutional Petition No: 19 of 2016 has been filed in Sindh High Court Circuit Court, Larkana, here on Thursday by petitioner Qadir Bux Bhatti through his advocate Habibullah Ghouri against respondents Inspector General of Police Sindh, Home Secretary and Province of Sindh through Chief Secretary Sindh praying therein to issue a writ directing the respondents to post Masood Ahmed Bangash as Superintendent of Police at Larkana to control & reduce the ratio of crime and to maintain peace, in the larger interest of public.
SHC has issued notices to the respondents for January 28 to file their comments. The petitioner stated that looking into the adverse law & order situation in Larkana and having regard to the increased crime ratio, the respondents, decided to post some police officer of good repute to curb the criminal activities and crime ratio in Larkana.
Bangash having good reputation was posted as SP headquarters by the respondents about two months back with directions to meet the task of arresting the criminals, proclaimed offenders and fugitives from law, including gangsters, terrorists, dangerous, desperate & hardened criminals and dacoits, petitioner added.
He said that as a matter of record, Bangash was able to arrest criminals and took them to legal forum, resultantly the rate of crime started decreasing in Larkana because of the fact that he never obeyed any illegal command and interference from political corners.
The petitioner further stated in the petition that due to non-obliging the political knights, he was transferred from Larkana just within short span of one & half months, as such the crime ratio is again increasing day by day just after one week of his transfer. Bhatti further stated that posting of above police officer at Larkana is need of the time to curb crime and in this behalf the social corners/civil society have also raised alarm and made demand from the Government of Sindh for services of this officer.
