PIA: (PIA earns profit of Rs 2.8 bln in 1st quarter this year)

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has earned profit of Rs 2.8 billion in the first quarter of this year and its revenue increased by six per cent as compared to last year.

A Spokesman of Civil Aviation Ministry told a press conference on Thursday that the turnaround is visible because the PIA has increased its fleet size from twenty-two to thirty five planes. He said the national carrier has reduced its loss by thirty-seven per cent during the current financial year.
