PIMA antismoking poster designing competition

Karachi:,,, Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) has announced an online poster designing competition on world no tobacco day, in connection with its public awareness campaign.

In a statement on Thursday, central president PIMA Prof Sohail Akhtar invited all doctors and medical students to join PIMA in this effort.

Around 100,000 people die every year in Pakistan due to smoking-related complications. We have been making efforts to minimize it trough mass level awareness campaigns.

He said that there are three themes for this competition; “Raise taxes on tobacco”, “Tobacco is a loss of health and morale” and “Tobacco user is a bad example to others”.
