Planning Commission approves Rupees 3 billion for Gwadar Safe City

QUETTA: Planning Commission has accorded approval of Rupees three billion for Gwadar Safe City project.

The approval was accorded at a meeting of CDWP held under the chairmanship of Minister for Planning, Development and reforms Ahsan Iqbal.

According to details Federal government was adopting serious measures for making development process secure and of standard. A meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Federal minister Ahsan Iqbal in Islamabad in which Rupees 3 billion were approved for Gwadar Safe City project Phase-II and Rupees 8 billion for Phase-III were recommended.

Under the project laser electronic virtual fencing, wireless communication system for cameras and private boats installation would be ensured. It is aimed at ensuring security of investors in Pak-China Economic Corridor and making development process meaningful.
