PM: (Govt implementing various schemes under PM’s Youth Programme)

ISLAMABAD: The government is striving to empower youth socially and economically through multiple interventions under Prime Minister’s Youth Programme.

According to a report quoting senior officials, Rs 05 billion have been distributed as business loans among young entrepreneurs under Prime Minister’s youth business loan scheme.

A youth training program is being launched soon under which 50,000 internships will annually be provided to those having 16 years of education. Monthly stipend of Rs 12,000 will be paid to each internee for the one-year internship period.

As many as 25, 000 students have passed out as skilled workers under Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme. Madaris students along with disabled youth are also catered to in this programme.

Under Interest Free Loan Scheme, more than Rs 1.3 billion have been distributed among the poorest of the poor people of 265 Union Councils of 36 districts across the country.
