PM Nawaz felicitates SM Muneer on UBG’s poll victory

KARACHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has felicitated SM Muneer on the victory of United Business Group (UBG) in the recent elections of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).

In a letter written to Patron-in-Chief of the UBG SM Muneer who is also Chief Executive Officer of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), the Prime Minister wrote, “I would like to extend my heartfelt felicitations to you on the victory of UBG in the FPCCI elections 2016 under your able patronage.”

The Prime Minister also acknowledged the vibrant leadership of SM Muneer as CEO TDAP and said that the institution was playing an important role in flourishing the economic activities in Pakistan. Sharif also lauded his stern efforts for elimination of corruption and malpractices in the TDAP.

The PM added, “I sincerely wish you and your associates more strength and enthusiasm in fostering your endeavour to make Pakistan as one of the most prosperous and dignified countries in the world.

Commenting on the letter, SM Muneer said that UBG aims to put Pakistan on the map of the world by rapid economic development with the full cooperation of the government. Lauding the policies of the government, he said that our leader and his able team was burning the midnight oil to increase the pace of development which had been acknowledged by all including international institutions.

“Economic corridor, LNG project, merger of stock exchanges, energy projects, pipeline deals and record forex reserves etc. indicate the economic performance of the government,” he added. He said the government had ensured sustainable economic growth through effective management of its economic, financial, water, energy and other resources,

UBG has won last two elections which has strengthened its position, said Muneer, adding, “We will sweep all the elections in future due to hard work, supremacy of merit, teamwork, and respect to the democratic norms within the group. Our success is result of the dedication of Chairman UBG Iftikhar Ali Malik, President FPCCI Abdul Rauf Alam, Chairman UBG South Zone Khalid Tawab, Chairman UBG Punjab SM Muneer, Central Spokesman Zubair Tufail and Chief Coordinator Malik Sohail.
