PM: (PM direct to prepare relief package for farmers)

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed the ministries of Finance and National Food Security to prepare a relief package for farmers in consultation with the provincial governments.

He was chairing a high-level meeting here on Thursday, which reviewed the problems of the agriculture sector. The meeting deliberated upon the relief package to ease out the difficulties being faced by farmers especially the small farmers.

The meeting discussed various measures to reduce the cost of agriculture inputs and to increase per acre yield of major crops. The relief package will be unveiled by the Prime Minister next week.
