PM: (PM meets Hurriyat leaders)

Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif met a delegation of All Parties Hurriyat Conference at the Assembly Secretariat here on Thursday.

The delegation comprised Yousuf Naseem, Ghulam Mohammad Safi, Mahmood Ahmed Saghar and afique Ahmed Dar. The Prime Minister said Pakistan is committed to a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute on the basis of the United Nations Security Council Resolutions.

He paid tribute to the valiant spirit of the people of Kashmir that has refused to be buckled under intense repressive measures they have faced in the course of more than 65 years. The Prime Minister said Pakistan firmly believes that only a just resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir issue can bring lasting peace to the region.

Hurriyat leaders expressed the confidence that government of Pakistan would continue to support the just cause of Kashmiris on international forums. They thanked the Prime Minister for visiting Muzaffarabad on this day to express solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Barjees Tahir; Chairman Kashmir Committee, Maulana Fazl ur Rahman; President AJ&K, Sardar Mohammad Yaqoob Khan; Prime Minister AJ&K, Chaudhry Abdul Majeed; Speaker AJ&K Legislative Assembly, Sardar Ghulam Sadiq and Leader of Opposition, Raja Farooq Haider were also present during the meeting. Earlier, the Prime Minister also addressed the joint session of AJ&K Legislative Assembly and AJ&K Council.
