PM: (PM reviews National Health Insurance Scheme)

ISLAMABAD: A meeting chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here on Thursday reviewed the national health insurance scheme to be launched this month.

In his remarks on the occasion, the Prime Minister called for implementing the national health insurance scheme for poor segments of the society in a transparent manner.

He said poverty and disease is a deadly combination and we have to target the both simultaneously. He directed that latest technology should be used for effective feedback and monitoring of policy.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister was briefed that state life insurance is being involved in executing the insurance program. Nawaz Sharif directed that before execution, a comprehensive awareness program should be launched.
