Islamabad: Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has taken strict notice of increase in load shedding duration.
Addressing media here Monday, he said the government is fully devoted to provide relief by decreasing load shedding duration.
He said by the end of this year, 2400 MW electricity would be added in the national grid system.
He said government is working hard to fulfil its pledged agenda, and that is why public has been witnessing initiation of new power projects in various parts of the country.
He said the Prime Minister himself is taking keen interest to get rid of this menace.
The minister said several projects will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister this year including 1320 MW Port Qasim power project, 6600 MW Gaddani power project and 4500 MW Dasu hydropower project. He said the government will fulfil all its promises with regard to power generation.
