PML-N accused of committing rigging in UC-42 polls

KARACHI: Union Council-42 leaders of Pakistan Muslim League Sher-e-Bangal on Tuesday accused Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) of committing rigging in LB polls in UC-42, Keamari.

Addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club (KPC), Pakistan Muslim League Sher-e-Bangal leaders Dr Allauddin and Muzaffar Ahmed alleged that PML-N candidate for Union Council-42 Chairman slot Muhibullah Khan won the polls through rigging in Machhar Colony, Keamari, Karachi. They alleged that RO had changed the result in recounting.

They claimed that their candidate had won in first counting with 3165 votes against Muhib’s 2703 votes, but after re-counting, result was changed and Muhib was declared victorious, which was injustice.

Allauddin alleged that RO spoiled their 776 votes and missed 400 votes in recounting in connivance with Muhib. They warned that the robbery of the public opinion will not be tolerated at any cost and they will continue their protest against rigging. The leaders also appealed to Election Commission and Election Tribunal to resolve this matter and provide justice.
