PMTF’s retired employees stage demo for pensions

KARACHI: Pakistan Machine Toll Factory (PMTF) Landhi’s retired employees on Wednesday staged a protest demonstration in front of Karachi Press Club (KPC) against its administration for delaying their outstanding pensions.

The protesters, majority of whom were elderly people, gathered outside KPC and chanted slogans against indifferent attitude of PMTF administration. They said that most of retired employees had been awaiting payment of pensions since six years as a result, their families were facing starvation-like situation.

They appealed to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Army Chief General Raheel Sharif to bring PMTF in control of the Ministry of Defence, and help in payments of pensions.
