PNA delegation meets secretary health

KARACHI: A delegation of Provincial Nursing Association (PNA) Sindh & Karachi chapters on Wednesday met with Secretary Health Sindh Iftikhar Shalwani at Sindh Secretariat.

The delegation members led by Rubina Johan, Salamti Khokhar and representatives from interior Sindh held a detail meeting with Secretary Health Iftikhar Shalwani and appraised him the problems being faced by nursing community in Sindh province. The important issues like seniority of nurses, allowances and non-issuances of licenses to nursing students were discussed in depth in meeting.

Secretary Shalwani assured the delegation members that all problems being faced by nursing community will be resolved on priority. He formed a committee led by Rubina Johan to look after the affairs of nursing promotion as per seniority list and other important issues.

The secretary health also assured the PNA delegation that International Nurses Day will be celebrated on 12th May across the province to promote nurses role in health sector.

The PNA delegation thanked the secretary health for issuing notification of positing of Surya Memon as director nursing and listening to the nurses’ problems.
