KARACHI:,,, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East Zone Pir Muhammad Shah on Monday claimed to have arrested 10 accused, including four alleged target killers, within the limits of District East Zone.
Addressing a press conference in his office, he said that police arrested two target killers Asghar, son of Saeed Afzal Khan, and Muhammad Gulfam, son of Orangzaib Khan, from East Zone. He said that they confessed to killing 17 people in different nine target killing activities in the city.
SSP said that accused Asghar had been sent behind bars two times. He said that two pistols with bullets were also recovered from their possession.
Shah said that in another targeted raid, Shahrah-e-Faisal police arrested a target killer Yasir Khan, son of Nasir Khan. He said that accused Yasir confessed to killing seven people with the help of his accomplices in the city. One pistol with bullets was also recovered from his possession, SSP said.
He said that another target killer Shahriyar alias Sheri Singhar, son of Muhammad Ali, was arrested by Brigade police. He confessed to killing two persons and committing several robberies in the city, claimed SSP. He said that one pistol with bullets was also recovered from his possession.
SSP said that six accused Muhammad Faraz, son of Muhammad Abbas; Muhammad Junaid, son of Asghar Ali; Muhammad Arshad, son of Noor Muhammad; Ayaz Ahmed alias Budha, son of Mumtaz Ahmed; Muhammad Rais, son of Muhammad Hanif and Muhammad Noman, son of Muhammad Rasheed, were arrested from different areas of East Zone.
Shah said that arrested accused had confessed to their involvement in street crime activities, house robberies and vehicle lifting in different areas of the city. He said that five pistols with bullets, snatched motorcycle, mobile phones and other stolen things were also recovered from their possession.
