Police nab six alleged terrorists in Karachi

KARACHI: Police on Friday claimed to have arrested six terrorists, including Taliban commander, during an encounter in Rizvia Society and recovered weapons and a motorbike fitted with explosive material from their possession.

According to sources, a police team conducted a raid at a house in Rizvia Society when alleged terrorists opened fire on them. The police retaliated the fire. In the shootout, a terrorist and a cop were injured.

The police overpowered six terrorists who were identified as Syed Alam, Syed Ahmed, Syed Amin, Muzaffar, Nasir Adil and Islamuddin. The police recovered handgrenade, weapons and explosive-fitted motorcycle from their possession. A bomb disposal squad rushed to the site and diffused explosive devise planted in the bike.
