Police ordered strict security of vaccinators

KARACHI: Acting IG Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali on Wednesday directed police to take concrete security measures for anti polio, measles and other diseases campaign in the city from 19-31 May 2014.

He directed Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGs) to acquire the campaigns schedule from the health department and prepare a security plan, keeping in view the police force present in the area.

He also directed Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) to not only made compulsory for the police stations to facilitate health department designated teams for the campaign but also brief policemen regarding the security plan.
