Police, rangers arrest nine criminals

KARACHI: Police and Rangers on Thursday conducted targeted operation separately in different areas of the metropolis and claimed to have arrested nine criminals.

According to police, they carried out raid in Federal B Area and arrested four accused involved in target killings and collecting extortion.

The suspects were identified as Muhammad Akram, Kashif Qureshi, Alam Zaib and Rao Imran. The police also claimed to have recovered weapons from their possession.

Meanwhile, the paramilitary force arrested three operatives of a banned outfit during a raid in Orangi Town. Weapons were also recovered from the possession of the accused, the Rangers said.

During snap checking, Mobina town police arrested two criminals, identified as Raza and Shehzad in injured condition, while their two partners were managed to flee.

Police recovered a motorcycle and weapon from their possession. Police said that criminals had confessed to many street crimes during initial investigation.

Bahadurabad police also arrested a criminal, identified as, Sarfaraz Khan and recovered a TT pistol from his possession.
