Police reviews security measures for anti-polio drive

KARACHI: Additional IGP Karachi, Mushtaq Mahar, on Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the security measures for upcoming four-day polio campaign starting from 11th to 14th January 2016.

The zonal DIGs, DIGs Admin, CIA, District SSPs Karachi and representative of polio teams attended the meeting. In meeting, Additional IGP Karachi reviewed security measures and issued further directions to the officers.

Mahar directed the SSPs to conduct regular meetings with polio teams for taking solid security measures in different areas of the city and ensure the effective security measures in the sensitive areas.

He instructed that foolproof security plan should be devised with cooperation of all stakeholders to provide lists of all polio workers mentioning their names to all police stations.
