ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minster Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Opposition leader Syed Khurshid Shah visited Sukkur Barrage and embankments of River Indus at Ghotki and Khairpur on Sunday.
Information and Irrigation Minister Sindh Nisar Ahmed Khoro and Secretary Irrigation Zaheer Haider Shah gave them briefing about the flood situation and the relief activities.
They distributed food items among the flood-affected people at the camps. The PPP Chairman asked the Sindh Government to accelerate rescue and relief activities.
The Sindh Chief Minister said all arrangements were completed to facilitate flood-affected people of Kacha area in Sindh. He said more than 0.5 million people from Kacha had shifted to safe places.
