Islamabad,: PAT chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri alleged that government not making any single effort to start talks to find a solution of the current crisis in the country.
Talking to media person outside of his container he said “I am in favour of talks but the government has neither sent any delegation nor asked me for talks’.
He said that I heard on TV that my workers have staged a sit-in in front of the Pakistan Secretariat and I have directed them to move back.
Taking back his earlier direction of stopping people from entering or exiting the gates leading to the Parliament House, the Supreme Court and the Cabinet Division, Qadri asked workers to stage a sit-in but avoid hindering anyone else’s movement.
Qadri claimed that the government is lying, and they have not sent any negotiating teams to him. However, he questions whether the killing of those during the Model Town clashes is justified.
Refuting reports that he did not refuse to hold talks with anyone, Qadri says MQM’s Haider Abbas Rizvi and Ijazul Haq are present with him on the stage as witnesses of this.
Later talking to media MQM leader Haider Abbas asked government to allow water and food supplies to reach the participants of the march.
