Position of Indus River’s flows

LAHORE: The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:

Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 53700 cusecs and Outflows 75000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 12300 cusecs and Outflows 12300 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 24300 cusecs and Outflows 15000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 25300 cusecs and Outflows 9000 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 74300 cusecs and Outflows 66300 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 101800 cusecs and Outflows 100000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 87800 cusecs and Outflows 68300 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 94200 cusecs and Outflows 79400 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 129700 cusecs and Outflows 107700 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 93000 cusecs and Outflows 39000 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 25900 cusecs and Outflows Nil cusecs.

Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1504.56 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 4.018 million acre feet (MAF).

Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1228.45 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.354 MAF. Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 646.40 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.180 MAF. The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 am.
