LAHORE: The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela-Inflows 31,800 cusecs and Outflows 48,000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 13,200 cusecs and Outflows 13,200 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla- Inflows 12,300 cusecs and Outflows 26,000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala- Inflows 12,600 cusecs and Outflows 6,000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah-Inflows 56,300 cusecs and Outflows 53,300 cusecs, Chashma -Inflows 64,800 cusecs and Outflows 55,000 cusecs, Taunsa- Inflows 54,700 cusecs and Outflows 51,700 cusecs, Panjnad- Inflows 6,900 cusecs and Outflows 3,700 Guddu- Inflows 65,000 cusecs and Outflows 58,400 cusecs, Sukkur- Inflows 52,600 cusecs and Outflows 22,700 cusecs, Kotri- Inflows 18,721 cusecs and Outflows 18721 cusecs.
Reservoirs’ Level and Storage: Tarbela – dead level 1380 feet, present level 1522.98 feet, maximum level 1550 feet, live storage 4.958 million acre feet (MAF) Mangla – dead level 1040 feet, present level 1230.75 feet, maximum level 1242 feet, live storage 6.511 MAF, Chashma – dead level 637 feet, present level 642.40 feet, maximum level 649 feet, live storage 0.081 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 am.
