Pot-holed road troubles citizens

Karachi: The badly pot-holed portion of University Road from Mosimiat to Karachi University has become a perpetual source of trouble for a large number of citizens using this artery.

This section of road is repaired two to three times a year and goes again broken due to the use of substandard material, besides overflowing gutters and broken water pipelines. The Sindh local government department and its agencies of KMC and KWSB are doing nothing to ensure replacement of the chocked and broken lines and a quality repair/ reconstruction of the badly damaged road.

The sanitary condition in the whole area is pathetically poor. On the same road, just in front of Karachi University’s Silver Jubilee Gate heaps of debris and garbage are left unattended, giving a sorry look to the vicinity of this premier university of Karachi and Pakistan.

The citizens demand to repair this broken road and pipelines on urgent basis, besides removal of wild bushes and heaps of garbage and debris from the area.
