Power outage affects water supply

KARACHI: Karachi Water and Sewerage Board’s (KW&SB) North West Pumping House on Saturday failed to pump required quantity of water to the citizens due to electricity suspension.

Water pumping station sources said the power supply was suddenly disconnected due to fualt in electrical supply lines late night.

They said due to power disconnection they could supply only 100 million gallons of water to the citizens.

They said despite frequent complaints electricity was not restored by the K-Electric causing the shortage of water in North Karachi, Orangi, Site, Baldia and Sher Shah.

On the other side MD Water Board appealed consumers to use water with care.
