PPP leader among four killed in Karachi

KARACHI: A PPP leader among four persons were killed and two others were injured in separate violence incidents here on Monday.

A local leader of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) PS 118 chapter, Ahsan Danish, was gunned down by unknown armed men near Aziz Bhatti Park in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities. The motive behind killing could not be ascertained yet.

In another incident, a man, Khursheed, 33, son of Mohammad Insari, was gunned down by unidentified armed men near Bhittai Colony in Korangi Crossing area. The body was shifted to JPMC for an autopsy. The motive behind killing could not be ascertained yet.

Yet in another incident, two alleged dacoits, aged about 20 to 25 years, lynched by an angry mob when they were looting a house in Landhi No. 6, behind the Government Degree College Korangi. However, Abdul Rasheed, 24, and Mohammad Shahid, 25, were injured in firing of dacoits. The bodies and injured were shifted to JPMC.
