PR: (Pakistan plans to revive container train service to Turkey)

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is actively pursuing restart of container train service to Turkey via Iran.

According to a report quoting sources in the Railways Ministry in Islamabad, an MoU has been signed with Turkish Railway for revival of freight train service to help promote trade.

Train operations between Pakistan and Turkey through Iran were inaugurated during 2009 under the auspices of Economic Cooperation Organization.
