President approves leave of CJ of IHC

Islamabad: President Mamnoon Hussain, on the advice of the Prime Minister, has approved 20 days ex-Pakistan leave to Mr. Justice Mohammad Anwar Khan Kasi, Chief Justice, Islamabad High Court, Islamabad with effect from the date of availing of leave in connection with private visit to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj in current year 2014.

The President has also approved appointment of Mr. Justice Noorul Haq N. Qureshi, Senior Pusine Judge as Acting Chief Justice in accordance with Article 196 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973, during the period Mr. Justice Mohammad Anwar Khan Kasi, Chief Justice, Islamabad High Court, Islamabad remains abroad.

The President has authorized next available Judge of the said Court to administer oath to the Acting Chief Justice.
