President FPCCI to visit Kazakhstan for business mission

KARACHI: President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) Mian Mohammad Adrees will leave for Kazakhstan with the Prime Minister’s entourage on the special invitation of the Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif. The 15 to 20 member high profile delegation will be comprising prominent businessmen from sports goods, fruits and vegetables, textiles, pharmaceutical and leather.

Mian Adrees said that the visit of Prime Minister will go a long way in promoting bilateral trade and economic relations and exploring new avenues for joint ventures. He further said that Pakistan and Kazakhstan are the important members of ECO and OIC. However, the bilateral trade between the two countries is not to the desired level despite the fact that both countries are rich in natural resources.

He informed that during the visit, FPCCI will also sign an MoU with the Chamber of International Commerce of the Kazakhstan to set up Joint Business Council (JBC) for establishing closest economic collaboration and cooperation and keeping liaison and consultation between both the countries for strengthening the economic relations and enhancing the trade volume.

President FPCCI further said that JBC will provide a regular and recognized forum for discussion and promotion of such activities between businessmen and industries of the two countries. This forum will also provide opportunity to the business community of both the countries to interact with each other confidently, Adrees added.
