Primary teachers hold demo in Larkana

LARKANA: Hundreds of primary teachers took out a large rally and gathered under the banner of Primary Teachers Association, Larkana Division, at Jinnah Bagh roundabout, held protest demonstration and chanted slogans against Education Department Secretary demanding his immediate removal.

Their Sindh chapter president Liaquat Deedar, Sikander Jatoi, Shafi Saithio, Amanullah Mahar and others while talking to media alleged that education secretary has brought destruction to education.

It may be noted that the Sindh education department has launched a big drive against the ghost teachers in whole Sindh including Larkana and biometric verified attendance system is being introduced in all government schools.

They said that IDs of hundreds of teachers have been closed or blocked without justification and they have been called to Sindh Secretariat, Karachi, without any reason. They said that if any teacher’s pay or appointment is illegal then inquiry should be conducted and those found guilty stern action should be taken against them.

They said difference bills of BPS-16 teachers are not being passed by the concerned district accounts officers but no action has been taken by him so far. They warned that if highhandedness is not stopped then teachers of Sindh will gather in Karachi for a protest.
