Problems of nursing community to be resolved on priority: Memon

KARACHI: Special Secretary (Admin) Health Department Sindh Riaz Ahmed Memon has said all problems of nursing community including stipend, health and other allowances would be resolved on priority in Sindh province.

He shared these views while chairing a meeting of senior faculty members and principals of Schools of Nursing and Colleges of Nursing held at Directorate of Nursing Sindh Auditorium here.

He said all problems of nursing community will be resolved soon and allocated funds for nursing will be given to administrative officials of nurses in healthcares.

Assistant Director Directorate of Nursing Sindh Khair-un-Nisa Akbar apprised the Special Secretary Sindh Raiz Memon about nurses

problems, educational issues, DDO powers to administrative officials of schools of nursing, lack of facilities in institutions, shortage of lower grade staff and other issue being faced by nursing community in the province.

Newly posted Director Nursing at Directorate of Nursing Sindh Surya Memon said: “She has taken the charge of director nursing a few days ago and efforts are under way to resolve the genuine demands of students of School of Nursing and College of Nursing on priority”.
