Prof Bhatti takes over as JPMC’s executive director

KARACHI: The Chief Secretary Sindh, Sajjad Saleem Hotiana on the instruction of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has appointed Prof Dr Anees Bhatti as Executive Director of the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).

Prof Anees Bhatti assumed the charge of Sindh’s largest tertiary-care hospital on Monday after Executive Director Dr Tasneem Ahsan was transferred prior to her retirement. Tasneem Ahsan was due to retire on February 14 and she got herself transferred to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in order to retire as an official of the federal government.

However, President, Doctor’s Association, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center, Dr Jawed Jamali congratulated Prof Anees Bhatti for becoming the Executive Director of hospital.
