Protests on roads and chawks has been banned

Peshawar: The Deputy Commissioner Peshawar under section 144 Cr.P.C has banned all sorts of public protests on roads/chowks of important nature, which creates traffic jam in the prevailing circumstances of District Peshawar, i.e.

Assembly Gate, Surey Pull (Rahman Baba Square), Jail road, Circular Road, G.T.Road, Mall Road and other thorough areas. This order shall come into force forthwith and shall remain enforced for 30 days.

Anyone violating the order shall be proceeded against under section 188 PPC.
