PTF to hold trials ahead of South Asian Games from December 28

Karachi: Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) will be holding trials in Islamabad from December 28 to select men and women teams for South Asian Games, which will be held in Guwahati (India) next year.

For men’s team, Aqeel Khan and Aisamul Haq Qureshi are exempted from trials. Meanwhile, other top six national ranked players are advised to report to Inamul Haq on December 28. For women trials, top six national ranked players are invited.

Four male and female players will finally be selected to represent Pakistan in the Games.

Rashid Malik is named as Coach of the national men team. He will also coach both men and women teams in Lahore from January 1, 2016.

Meanwhile, the trials to select three-member boys 16 and under team for Junior Davis Cup will also be held at S. Dilawar Abbas, PTF Tennis Complex in Islamabad during the same timeframe.

The Junior Davis Cup competition will be held in Sri Lanka from February 29 to March 6, 2016.
