PTI flag hoisted on previous Q-League secretariat

Karachi: After joining of Haleem Adil Sheikh in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the flag of PTI was hoisted on the former secretariat of Pakistan Muslim League-Q Sindh chapter, and hundreds of the friends and supporters of Haleem Adil Sheikh also announced joining the PTI here on Sunday, showing full confidence in the leadership of Imran Khan.

On the occasion, PTI central leader and MNA Dr Arif Alvi welcomed them in the fold of PTI. He said Imran Khan has warmly welcomed Haleem Adil Sheikh on joining the PTI. He said that Haleem Adil Sheikh is a committed politician, and a great person, working for the rights of common man and Haris. He has served the poor people of the Thar by visiting its far-flung areas. He said Bhutto rose from the political horizon of Sindh by raising the slogan of poor people and Haris, but sadly now his party has made the life of Haris miserable in Sindh.

He said that that Imran Khan also believes in the social work and he is fighting for the rights of poor people. He is working for free medical treatment of people and establishing hospitals for them. He regretted that people of Sindh are forced to drink contaminated water. He said the PPP and MQM have been exploiting the poor people in Sindh province.

Those who joined the PTI included ex-MPA Bano Sagheer Siddiqui, Naeem Adil Sheikh, Agha Rafiullah, Fayaz Laghari, Mir Hassan Khan Rind, Imamuddin Kerio, Zeeshan Panhwar, Kareem Bux Lashari, Sadaqat Samoo, Imran Qureshi, Haji Lakhmir Chachar, Fareeda Laghari and others.

Welcoming them, Dr Alvi said he has been given responsibility to strengthen the party in Sindh and now in the shape of Haleem Adil Sheikh the party would get a lot of support. He said the government has booked their local government candidates in false cases.

He said the PPP is teemed with corruption. He said its ministers fly over cities and towns in helicopters to locate vacant plots for their grabbing. He said billions of rupees earned through corruption are sent to Dubai. He said even this time the meeting of cabinet was held in Dubai. He said a RO plant of billions of rupees, which was said to be the largest RO plant of Asia, developed fault in Thar even before its working. He said every year 50000 children die in Thar due to malnutrition, but the chief minister is least concerned. He said due to this injustice of the PPP now people are joining the PTI. He said in Thar there are huge reserves of coal which could cater the whole energy needs of Pakistan. He said Pakistan is rich in mineral resources but it needs honest leadership.

Haleem Adil Sheikh, speaking on the occasion, said that he started his practical politics in 1993 as a worker and now he is also feeling joy to work again as a political worker. He charged the local government elections in Karachi were the election of deputy commissioner and Patwaris and 70percent people did not even cast their vote. He said we would contact these people by visiting their homes. He said we will work like soldiers of PTI and get Sindh rid of the mafias. He said these mafias have held the people hostage and now we will strengthen the PTI in whole Sindh.
