Peshawar: Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Higher Education, Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani, has said that the PTI led provincial government devolved its powers to the common man by introducing the Access to Information, Right to Public Services and Local Bodies Acts and made the government and its functionaries answerable before the people. He added that the provincial government has made record legislation by passing more than 90 Bills from the Assembly for ensuring good governance in the province.
This, he stated, while addressing an awareness seminar at Chokara District Karak arranged by the Insaf Students Federation the other day. The seminar beside others was also addressed by the Parliamentary Secretary on Population Welfare Deena Naaz Khattak MPA and Tehsil Councillor Engr: Waqas Khattak and highlighted the steps taken by the PTI government for the welfare of the masses.
The Special Assistant maintained, gone were the days when there was an era of commission and corruption and now there was each and every thing on merit. He declared that the PTI slogan “justice for all, accountability across the board and power in the hands of common man” would be materialized in letter and spirit and right to deserving people would be ensured at all cost.
He added that the government has blocked the way of corruption, commission and favouritism by introducing NTS and ETEA tests for appointments and E-Tendering for contracts in the province. He claimed that his party has achieved 70% success in his promise of bringing “change” after coming into power with the support of electorates.
Mr. Ghani continued that District Karak was lucky enough for having huge deposits of oil and gas adding that the day was not far when people from other provinces would come for jobs to this district. He assured the people that gas connection to every house of Karak would be ensured.
Later, the Special Assistant also visited Govt Degree Colleges for Girls and Boys at Tehsil Takht-e-Nasrati and listened to the problems of the academic staff. He on this occasion announced Bus for each college besides ordering to acquire the adjacent hill top for construction and security purposes of both the colleges at the earliest.
Earlier, Mr. Ghani, on his way to Karak, also paid surprise visits to Post Graduate College Kohat for Boys and Girls Degree College No.1 Kohat and checked the attendance of staff, security measures and cleanliness conditions of both the colleges.
He appreciated the Principal of Girls College for maintaining tight security arrangements and better cleanliness condition while expressed his grave concern over the poor cleanliness condition of Post Graduate College and strictly instructed its Principal to improve the condition otherwise prepare for action.
