Peshawar: The oath taking ceremony of newly elected cabinet of All Pakistan Clerks Association, Mineral Development Peshawar held at Directorate General Mineral Development Department Peshawar on Wednesday. Provincial Minister for Mineral Development, Ziaullah Afridi was the chief guest on the occasion.
Besides others, Secretary Mineral Development Mian Wahiduddin, director General Mineral Dev: Dr. Liaqat Ali, Commissioner Mines, Ziarat Khan, Presidents of Clerks Association, Ubaid ur Rahman and Syed Ali Shah, the members of newly elected cabinet and concerned officials attended the ceremony.
Ziaullah Afridi administered oath to members of newly elected cabinet included President Mineral Dev: Ubaidur Rahman, Senior Vice President Adnan, Vice President Kamal Shah, general Secretary Syed Farman Ali Shah, Deputy General Secretary Naimatullah, Finance Secretary- Azizullah and Press Secretary Mohammad Tahir while President of Inspectorate of Mines Peshawar- Syed Ali Shah, Senior vice President Mines Mohammad Usama, Vice President Shakeel ur Rahman, General Secretary Mines, Mohammad Ayub, Deputy General Secretary Mines Mohammad Nisar, Finance Secretary Malik Aman and Press Secretary Altaf Hussain Khalil. General Secretary Farman Ali Shah presented the charter of demands pertaining promotion cases, mineral allowance, mineral colony, upgradation of technical staff and other issues being faced by the association.
Provincial Minister while addressing the ceremony assured that genuine demands and problems of the association would be resolved according to the prevailing rules and regulations. He said that PTI led provincial government, despite meagre resources and several other problems, has fulfilled the longstanding demand of clerks’ community regarding their upgradation.
The Minister further stated that restoration of merit, provision of justice and maintaining the rule of law throughout the province were the historical achievements of the provincial government.
The Minister hoped that Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf would clean sweep in coming local government elections on the basis of its performance. Moreover, he said that present provincial government has restored the confidence of people through its good governance. However, the civil servants were also expected to perform their duties honestly and would play their vital role in bringing about the real change.
General Secretary of the Association, Farman Ali Shah thanked the provincial government on the upgradation of clerks and assured their full cooperation on behalf of his association. He also thanked the provincial minister for gracing the occasion and taking keen interest to resolve their problems and grievances.
