Islamabad: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 46% Pakistanis believe that Malala Yousafzai should take part in Pakistani politics in the future; 52% Pakistanis disagree.
A nationally representative sample of adult men and women, from across the four provinces was asked, “In your opinion should Malala Yousafzai take part in Pakistani politics in the future or not?” Responding to this question, 46% respondents said that she should take part in Pakistani politics in the future, while 52% respondents said that she should not take part in Pakistani politics in the future and 2% did not respond.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2579 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during October 20 – October 27, 2014. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
