Public problems heard at Ombudsman office

KARACHI: Federal Ombudsman Office Karachi’s Senior Advisor Farzana Jabeen and Advisor Mohammad Yamin on Thursday conducted hearing of 15 complaints submitted against overcharging of electric bills by K- Electric, and provided immediate justice to the complainants at Deputy Commissioner Camp office Malir.

During the hearing, K-Electric’s Senior Official Maroof Solangi was also present. The applicants expressed satisfaction over getting justice and thanked federal ombudsman department.

Farzana Jabeen and Mohammad Yamin expressed that department was established in 1983 which was further improved under the supervision of Chief Ombudsman Salman Farooqi. They said the investigation officials were bound to give any judgment within 45 days. They further said that they had special directives from Salman Farooqi that the received complaints should be sent to all relevant departments so that their official statement should be present at the time of judgment for smooth provision of justice.
