PWA celebrates ID with Thalassemia patients

KARACHI: Patients Welfare Association (PWA), Civil Hospital Karachi, on Wednesday celebrated Independence Day with thalassemia children at Thalassemia Day Care Centre.

The children and volunteers took an active part in the program and performed various activities which included Quiz, national songs, games, etc. A volunteer while talking to media men, said PWA is the largest students-run non-governmental, and no-political organization of Pakistan working within the premises of Civil Hospital Karachi.

The services offered include medicines that are provided to patients on a daily basis, provision of screened blood, baseline diagnostic investigation and long term treatment for patients of TB, thalassemia, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes mellitus, SLE and hypertension.
