Karachi: The spokesperson of Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah commenting on the press conference of MQM leaders said that it was a bunch of baseless allegations. “Whatever, they have said had nothing to do with the reality and truth.”
He said that PPP government has given equal rights to the people of Sindh and also to the people of Pakistan right from the tenure of its founding chairman Shaheed Bhutto. It would not be an exaggeration to say that PPP government has served the people of Karachi and Hyderabad with more attention and focus,” he said and added that PPP leadership has never differentiated between Larkana and Karachi. All the cities of the province are equally dear to us.
The spokesperson said PPP has given jobs purely on merit and nobody raised finger of accusation. The present PPP government imposed ban on recruitment as it came into power about one and half year ago. “Last month ban was lifted and only the positions of constables were filled purely on merit,” he said.
The spokesperson further said “MQM had made over employment in KMC, KBCA and in such other local bodies of Karachi and Hyderabad purely on political basis. “There was a drill of ghost employees in these institutions despite the fact we did not raise finger of accusation,” he said.
Brushing aside the allegation of selling jobs the chief minister’s spokesperson said “PPP has given jobs irrespective of cost, creed and ethnic discrimination. “The MQM leader who addressed press conference had never raised such issues when MQM was in coalition with PPP government and when they have quit the government they are misguiding the people of the province. “
