Quake: (Pakistani Hindus mourn over Nepal Quake tragedy)

ISLAMABAD: Patron-in-chief Pakistan Hindu Council and Member National assembly Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, while expressing extreme grief over quake tragedy in Nepal, has said that the timely humanitarian aid sent to Nepal by the Government and Pak Army is a good sign.

He was addressing the general body of Pakistan Hindu Council at Hyderabad on Monday. On the occasion, one-minute silence and special prayers were also held. The members shown confidence on the last six-month performance report and future strategy plan, presented by the Secretary General Dr. Deepak.

In addition, amendments in the constitution were also approved, some of them include increase in the number of seats for Managing Committee and fee structure for contesting elections.

Prominent Hindu law-maker Dr. Ramesh Vankwani, while recalling services of former senior most judge of the Supreme Court Justice Rana Bhagwan Das , also briefed the participants regarding the ongoing progress related to the shrine of Shri Param Hans Ji Maharaj, located in Kirk and meetings with the provincial governments, as per the detailed orders of Supreme Court on June 19, 2014 to protect the minorities rights.

Keeping closer friendliest relations with Pakistan, Hindu population of Nepal consists of more than 80 percent which is largest than any other country across the globe.
