NAUNDERO: Hundreds of primary students and their teachers belonging to 10 Government Primary Schools of Naundero took out a rally here on Tuesday to mark the World Literacy Day. The rally was taken out from Shaheed Major Mujahid Mirani Primary School No. 3, which marched through various roads and reached Benazir Bhutto Press Club.
The students were holding placards and banners in their hands and chanting slogans in favour of getting education to end illiteracy in the province. They were led by Supervisor Abdul Rahman Supro, Jabbar Pahore and others.
Addressing the students, Supro said that it is the era of education and without education no nation can move forward and develop itself. It is not the era of giving daggers into the hands of kids, but it is the era of giving books and pens to them to get literate, Supro added. He urged the parents to ensure that their boys and girls are admitted to the schools for better education.
